About Us
Founded in 2018, Riwaq Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing contemporary Islamic scholarship grounded in traditional philosophy. We serve the DE, Southern PA, and Southern NJ Areas. Our mission is to foster a passion for the intellectual Islamic sciences while making learning accessible and practical for working individuals, parents, and students.
Our History
Our Name
The name “Riwaq” refers to the arch(s) found in many of the world’s great mosques particularly between the courtyard and the inner area of the mosque. Historically, these spaces became centers of learning where sacred knowledge was passed down from generation to generation.
Through our programs, workshops, and community initiatives, we aim to ignite passion, inspire learning, and strengthen both individuals and communities in the pursuit of knowledge, faith, and service.
